AZ’s Long-Term-Care Score Card

In the fall of 2011 AARP completed a study of long-term care in every U.S. state with the help of the California-based non-profit The SCAN Foundation. The report ranked each state’s long-term-care services based on affordability, quality of life, support to caregivers and several other criteria. Among the states, Arizona’s overall rank was 15 – not bad at all.  Those that ranked at the top were Midwest or Northwest states such as Minnesota, Washington, Oregon and Colorado. The Southeast scored poorly, with the bottom three spots going to West Virginia, Alabama and Mississippi. To see the complete report, or view rankings state by state, visit LongTermScoreCard.
